Version 3.0.63 is live. This release expands ReadyCMS Recommendations with six new weekly checks, bringing the total number of checks across the platform to 50.
It also improves the accuracy and reliability of existing recommendations, expands several API capabilities, and introduces a safer activation process for plugins that require configuration.
What’s new?
1) Recommendations upgrades
a) Recommendations now includes 50 checks
Six new weekly checks have been added to the Recommendations panel, covering product quality, pricing, discounts, and customer behavior.

ReadyCMS can now identify:
- Product titles that are too long
- Sale prices set higher than regular prices
- Published products with no tags
- A high percentage of orders placed through guest checkout
- Active discount codes that have never been redeemed
- Products still showing a sale price after the configured sale end date
These additions bring the total number of ReadyCMS Recommendations checks to 50.
b) More accurate VIP customer recommendations
The VIP customers recommendation has been updated to produce a more accurate and relevant customer list.
The card now:
- Appears only on stores with e-commerce enabled
- Uses clearer wording that no longer suggests a fixed dollar threshold
- Filters out customers with very low total spending
This helps ensure that the recommendation reflects genuinely high-value customers.
c) Product title checks now available on every ReadyCMS site
The checks for short product titles and duplicate product titles are no longer limited to e-commerce stores.
They now appear on every ReadyCMS site where relevant, helping more teams identify unclear or repeated product names.
d) Recommendation card counts now display correctly
Three recommendation cards previously displayed %s in their headings instead of the actual number of affected records.
The recommendations endpoint now bypasses the stale rendered-response cache responsible for the issue, ensuring that card titles display the correct count.
e) More reliable weekly recommendation rebuilds
Weekly recommendation processing is now isolated by tenant.
If a rebuild fails for one tenant, the error no longer prevents the remaining tenants in the same scheduled run from being processed.
This makes weekly Recommendations updates more reliable across the platform.
2) API upgrades
a) Messaging API expanded
The messaging API now supports more complete message management.
New and expanded endpoints allow you to:
- Retrieve all messages belonging to a user
- Retrieve all messages through an admin-level view
- Edit an existing message using
PATCH - Delete a message using
DELETE
These additions make it easier to build inboxes and message-management experiences through the API.
b) Order status history now available by user
A new endpoint is now available:
GET /orders/history/user/{id}/
The endpoint returns the order status history for every order belonging to a specific user in a single request.
This can support customer profiles, account dashboards, customer service tools, and external integrations that need a complete view of a user’s order activity.
c) Category and tag SEO fields now writable
SEO metadata for product categories and product tags can now be created and updated through the API.
The custom_field property is now supported through both POST and PATCH, allowing external systems and integrations to manage category and tag SEO data programmatically.
3) Admin upgrades
a) Safer activation for plugins with settings
Plugins that include a setup configuration page must now have their settings completed and saved before activation.
When a user selects Activate, ReadyCMS redirects them to the plugin settings page first. The plugin can only be enabled after the required configuration has been saved.

This prevents plugins from being activated without the necessary options or credentials to work correctly.
50 checks, clearer signals, more reliable workflows
This release strengthens the ReadyCMS Recommendations system with six new weekly checks, bringing the total to 50 across products, commerce, operations, content quality, and security.
Teams can now identify more pricing, product data, promotion, and checkout issues before they affect day-to-day work. Existing recommendations are also more accurate, card counts display correctly, and weekly rebuilds continue even when one tenant encounters an error.
Expanded messaging, order history, and SEO API capabilities give development teams more control over connected experiences, while the updated plugin activation flow helps ensure that required settings are completed before a plugin goes live.
Together, these updates make ReadyCMS more proactive in the admin, more flexible through the API, and more dependable across everyday workflows.
