We've introduced major enhancements to stock management and order quantity settings, added a new plugin for generating media thumbnails, and rolled out a couple of smaller but handy updates for order handling.

What's new?

1) Stock management 🏷️

Gain tighter control over your inventory with our upgraded stock management system.

  • Enhanced inventory dashboard

    • 'All' tab: Quickly view all products across every store location in one unified list.
    • Location-specific tabs: For businesses with multiple warehouse or retail sites, each location has its own tab, making it easy to update stock by site.
    • History tab: Keep a clear record of stock movements—additions, subtractions, or transfers—ideal for audits and internal tracking.

  • Product-level stock tab

Each product now features a dedicated stock screen where you can:

    • Check per-location inventory levels at a glance.
    • Update stock instantly, whether for a single store or multiple sites.
    • Configure thresholds, backorder options, and other specialized settings at the product level.

Edit Product stock management page in ReadyCMS showing a stock level graph and inventory distribution across two storage locations, with a total stock of 5,640 units and an option to allow out-of-stock purchases.

  • Store location Stock button

    • Manage inventory directly from your Shop settings. Each store location features a 'Stock' button that directs you directly to relevant products, reducing the need for extra clicks.

  • Global stock settings

    • Fine-tune rules across your entire site, such as allowing or disallowing out-of-stock orders, defining low-stock alerts, and setting default reorder points.

With these comprehensive updates, you can monitor, adjust, and maintain optimal stock levels more efficiently.

Whether you're juggling a single retail location or multiple warehouses, ReadyCMS's enhanced Stock Management ensures you're always prepared to meet customer demand, without overstocking or risking unexpected shortages.

2) Order quantity settings ⚖️

Now you can fine-tune how product quantities are handled in orders. This is also done on the product-level stock tab.

  • Minimum & maximum quantities: Ensure customers purchase within desired limits—perfect for bulk or specialized items.
  • Increment steps: Specify quantity increments to standardize orders (e.g., increments of 5 for wholesale purchases).
  • Clear notifications: Automatic warnings if users select a quantity outside the permissible range.

3) New plugin: Media Thumbnails 🖼️

Manage and display your images more efficiently with the Media Thumbnails plugin. It automatically generates and manages image thumbnails across your entire ReadyCMS media library, keeping your site visually consistent and performance-friendly.

  • Automatic thumbnail generation: Create scaled-down versions of high-resolution images without leaving ReadyCMS. As soon as you upload an image (via ReadyCMS Cloud or FTP), the plugin checks for missing or outdated thumbnails and regenerates them.
  • Seamless integration: Thumbnails appear alongside your original media, making it easier to preview and organize.
  • Scheduled regeneration: Set hourly, daily, or weekly intervals to ensure your thumbnails are always fresh and up to date.
  • Faster load times: Serving smaller, optimized images reduces page weight, improving site speed and SEO.
  • Broad compatibility: Works seamlessly with common image formats (JPEG, PNG, GIF) and existing compression/optimization tools.

Minor updates

  • Assign manager to orders: You can now see assigned managers in the order list.

  • Numeration on Variant list: We've added a numeric index to the product variant list, making it simpler to track and reorder multiple variations at a glance.
